Life
Wow, has it been over ten years already?? I graduated from Kennesaw State University with, of all things, a BA in theater. I spent the summer of my senior year on an exchange program in Oaxaca, Mexico. You can only imagine how humorous that was. I had an great host family that spoke NO english. Needless to say, I learned a lot. After graduation I was accepted into an international educational program called Up With People. I spent 1997 traveling around the world with 150 other students from 20 different countries, living w/ host families, doing community service & performing "The Festival." aja, Hungary working at the Rock for Life Festival. It was a mission festival with the purpose of uniting the youth of the balkans and sharing God's love with them. I returned there in July 2000 to continue what was started the year before. I married my friend, Scott Penner, in October of 2001. We decided to stay in the area and in 2003 we bought a house in Kennesaw. We spent the first 3 years of our marriage traveling as much as possible & continuing to see the world. In April of 2005 our son was born & I resigned from my merchandising assistant job with EXPO design center to become a full time mommy. It is the best job that I have ever had. It is also the most demanding & most difficult, but well worth it.
