Carolyn's Story
Wow, how do you condense all these years!! I live in Idabel where I met and married my best friend, Wade, 16 years ago. He came with two young sons (Britt now 24 and Seth now 18). We got full custody of them seven years ago when their mom moved to Nebraska. Britt and Beth got married in 2008 after dating all through high school and college. Seth is a senior this year. Larry and I were divorced after 20 years and are still friends (thank goodness cause we have three wonderful children and six wonderful grandchildren together). Todd, his wife Mysti, and their children, Trent, Brooke, and Kaylee live in Texas close to Larry. so busy we don't get to spend a lot of time together but every June we run the Owa Chito 5K together and all try to make it to a gathering some time during Christmas holidays. Have spent 40 years going to football, baseball, basketball, dance, cheerleading, piano lessons, cross country meets, FFA activities, PTA and sorority meetings, church activities, and last but not least, work. Wade has calmed down my obsessive compulsive tendencies over the years...thank goodness!! My kids grew up in a very organized, planned, structured life!! It freaks them out to come home to visit a house with two outside cats, two inside dogs, an aquarium, and a mom who will do things without planning for weeks ahead of time!!! The urges are still there, but I fight them off!!!
