I won District 33 International Speech Contest - for the second year in a row! I believe I am the first woman in District 33 history to do so. I will be competing again this year in the Semi-finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking. This year it will be in Cincinnati, OH. Wow - can't believe I am going to the Semi-finals -- again. I am working hard to progress farther this year. I really would love to be able to be 1 of 10 speakers competing in the World Championship of Public Speaking. Wish me luck! Competing in Orlando, FL was one the best experiences I have ever had in the whole of my life. Being one of only 88 people from around the world to step out onto the semi-finals stage - what a rush. Even though I did not get to progress further, it was an amazing, growing and wonderfully terrifying but learning pleasure. I also discovered that one of the other competitors was from Helena too. Grant competed last year as well in the semi-finals. Do you know how rare it is that two people from Helena, MT competed at the same semi-finals? It must be a record of some kind!
