Carolyn's Story
I was nine years old when we moved to San Diego, CA. I went to Jefferson Elm, Roosevelt Jr High, then on to San Diego High. My Jr year I wanted to join the drama club instead of gymnastics. It was fun but I could have kicked myself for losing a year in gymnastics. H S was not my thing. If I didn't have art,gym,gymnastics and good friends, it would have been four long years. On to SD Jr College, where I met my future husband, so goodbye Jr College, hello married life. We lived on a 50 ft boat in Point Loma for 14 years with 3 kids and a full size Collie. son was out of the nest, we decided to move to WA state. We put our boat on a trailer and moved. It was nice to have our home with us but looking out the windows was a strange sensation, San Diego was gone and all was unknown. Our 14yr old son had a very hard time adjusting. My daughter was 7yrs old and where her parents were life was good. We bought a home and have lived in it for 22 yrs. We have 2 wonderful and smart Grandsons from our oldest son. The other two don't want kids. My husband and I have retired and thinking of moving to warmer and dryer climate. Onto the next stage in our life.
