Carolyn's Story
Hi everyone! I'm Carolyn Vanderbloemen (formerly Turner). It's been an interesting journey since graduation and like many of you, life has been full of surprises.
I graduated from Central WA State College (now university) and later went on to get my masters degree in social work from Syracuse University. I have a passion for what I do and have never regretted my career choice.
I was married to a career Army officer and have 3 sons from this marriage. We divorced after 25 years and I met the love of my life, Richard Vanderbloemen. I definitely got it right the second time around. Sadly, Richard died 9 years ago. I remain single and work as a psychiatric social worker ...Expand for more
at the Veterans Hospital in Atlanta. I love the weather in the SE, but miss my friends in WA and the beauty of the NW.
You probably remember me as a quiet, shy girl in high school or perhaps you don't remember me at all. I have definitely grown and changed over the years and I am far more confident and outgoing then in the high school days. My hobbies include traveling, hiking, dancing, entertaining and spending time with friends. I must confess, I do love a good glass of Chardonnay at the end of the day.
I look forward to getting reacquainted with some of you. Who knows, maybe our paths will someday cross again. In any event, I look forward to hearing about your lives.
