Carolyn's Story
Having been a quiet student, you'd find me in Ms Dickerson home economics classes cooking or sewing, the band room or hanging around the auto shop. I was engaged during my senior year and married a career military man in 76 leaving Pinckney. I divorced years ago and have two grown children. enjoying the the blue skies, great climate and mountains ever since.
My first job was at the Pinckney General Store, where I got paid $1.85 an hour to be a sales clerk and cashier. What I remember most about it is was the owner Bob Parks he was such fun loving old man, miss him and the town square. Do you remember his wife
the teacher Mildred Parks? She taught classes in the little school house behind the general store as well as the one room school house off of M-36.
