Carolyn's Story
Life
After BHS graduation, I attended Temple Jr College, then a yr at MH-B, and finished at North Texas State. I have taught most of my 33 yrs in Ingleside and Rockport. Still teaching and loving it--4th gr. reading/Texas social studies. Aren't those ten year olds just the greatest? :)
I'm single now and enjoying my children and grandchildren. I have three fine sons born in '68, '69, & '71 and lovely dau. in '78. Life goes on beautifully! Beginning to reconnect with old friends. That's wonderful also.
I have started a hobby, scrapbooking, and will probably become more avid when I retire...whenever that will be!? In the meanwhile...I just keep on taking those pictures!
2009...After 35 years, I finally retired from teaching and I am enjoying life on a whole new level ! Loving it ! Isn't it funny how from birth you have people telling you what to do, how to do it, shaping your life, and then you start school...Expand for more
and more people are added to your list.....and finally you graduate to become independent....and trade all those important people in your life for a brand new set who dictate when you go and what to do for a long time....and THEN .........you RETIRE ! It takes a long while to really ARRIVE in life, doesn't it ? But it is worth it in the long run. I love my life (I always have) and I'm loving being the one who tells me when to start my day and where to go and what to do ! It has been quite a ride but I wouldn't trade a moment of it......well might trade a few decisions but all in all, it has been wonderful and I am glad for all those people who added a chapter in my life and helped me grow. Some stayed and some didn't, but ALL of them gave me an important part of growing and learning about life. It has all been worthwhile. I have ARRIVED ! ......OR have I? Is there more to learn? Well, let me see......
