Carrie's Story
I can't really figure out how my profile states I went to Jefferson County High School. I don't recall putting that in. (my husband affectionately calls me a paraplegic squirell monkey when it comes to computers!) To those who know me you realize I attended Wrens High School from the middle of my ninth grade year until graduation in 1984. My father was the local minister of music and youth at Wrens Baptist Church. I imagine I pretty much lived up to the reputation that minister's kids are the worst! We don't realize as kids how the way we live our lives then affects us in who we are today. I just recently forgave myself and others for those wounds I carried for over 21 yrs. What a relief!! I married in Dec of 1985. Met my husband in college. He told me he wanted to be a journalist. Ended up being an ordained Baptist minister the year after I married him! BUT GOD! I told myself I would never marry anyone in the ministry because I watched the pain my parents went through. We just celebrated our 23nd anniversary this past December. iful boys ages 23, 13 and 12. And we have 2 beautiful granddaughters ages 4 1/2 and 3 1/2. Life is good. I went to nursing school and graduated in 1994 with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. My husband graduated in 2002 with a PhD in Christian Ethics from Baylor University. We moved to Texas in 1991. Except for a brief period from 1998 to 2000, we have lived in TX since. We briefly moved to South Carolina and Tennesse then back to Texas. We currently live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, about 10 mins from DFW airport. I work at the local hospital doing in-patient and out-patient procedures in endoscopy, pain management and IV therapy such as PICC line insertions. My husband is the VP of Distribution and Publishing at The World Bible Translation Center. Between our jobs and our children and grandchildren we stay pretty busy. I would love to catch up with you all. The year 2009 will mean that I have been out of high school for 25 years! For God's Sake!! Let's have a reunion!! I promise I will attend!! I would love to see you all and catch up!!
