Carrie's Story
Life
I graduated in 2001 from BS in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from UC San Diego. I received my masters in education and teaching credential in 2002 from UC Santa Barbara. I then moved around the state to try different areas and different school philosophies. I am am now in the south bay and working at El Segundo MS as a life and physical science teacher. I am also working to save the oceans by educating the world through documentaries.
College

tend graduate school at UC Santa Barbara where I spent 13 hours a day preparing to become a teacher and writing my masters thesis. I then graduated near the top of my class and with honors.
Workplace
When I first went to college I washed dogs at Petco, then I started delivering the school newspaper (a job that I held until I graduated). In graduate school there is no time for any other jobs, so school was my job. I then worked at Adolfo Camarillo HS, then moved to Santa Cruz and worked at Del Mar HS, then moved to Santa Monica and and working at SAMOHI, and am now in the south bay working at El Segundo Middle School.
