Carrie's Story

Life I went to Ridgewater College in Willmar for a one-year course. I graduated in 2003 and lived in Willmar for a short while before returning to Redwood Falls. I'm currently living with my mother to help pay for her mobile home, then in about two years I'm going to leave. I'm not sure of where I'm going yet. I'm currently looking for work. I also have found someone special who loves me very much. He graduated from here in 2005. His name is Andrew Riehs Jr. He lives here in Redwood Falls as well. I've found work recently here in town. I work for Heartland Industries, which owns 2nd Time Around, a thrift store. I clean and price items and organize shelves. I'm going to be working there until 2010 when my mom and I pay off the mobile home, then I'll probably leave Redwood Falls. I have a few areas that I'd like to go to, however, I'm not saying anything until I make my final decision. Andrew and I have gone our separate ways because of REM. They were terrified that I would make them lose their cash flow, since Andrew is worth about 100,000 dollars to them every year, tax-free. Apparently, no other people on Earth have a developmental disability. I've also been out to be a serial killer or something by his new girlfriend, Jenny Ross. This all started in January of this year. There was a bowl-a-rama in town and I was on her team. Things were going well until she asked me a very unusual question. She asked me point blank "Do you think I should break up with Andrew?" I was flabbergasted by her asking me, since it wasn't my place to dictate what she did with him. At first, I simply ignored her, however, her staff person Vanessa kept looking at me like "Why aren't you talking to her, you bitch?" I felt a lot of pressure to answer her. I asked her what she meant by breaking up with him. She explained to me that Andrew has never kissed her, hardly ever hugs her, and when she tries to do so, she gets shoved by him. I told her ...Expand for more
that to be honest, I feel you should do so since neither one of you are truly happy with dating one another. She told her staff that I stalked her at her mom's house, I threatened to kill her, and that I insisted that she committ suicide while she still had a chance. That's odd since #1 I have no idea where her mom lives. #2 I have no desire to have anything to do with her to begin with. #3 I'd would never ever suggest something that heinous to anyone. After the accusation was made, no one wanted anything to do with me and I was nearly arrested twice. I even got death threats since how could anyone hurt sweet little Jenny Ross? She nevers does anything wrong. She also had three big guys come with her to the bowling alley on occasion since I supposedly threatened her life at work, yet I didn't start working there until June, when she was no longer employed there. I waited for 2 months just to make sure she was really gone to a group home in Marshall. I still get crap about what happened, even though it was proven false shortly after my county meeting in June. Things have gotten better between Andrew and I in the sense that we are getting along at work and that in some circumstances we are getting along much more than when we were dating. We've been doing our best to keep everything professional, although, I sometimes hit the gray zone with things. I'm not sure if Andrew is as well, although, I wouldn't put it past him to do so. I also sometimes question his motives because he's still technically dating someone else. I would be more than willing to give him what he wanted most in our relationship and I know that by doing so would almost guarantee that he'd become posessive once again, however, I do know that that was one of his big deal breakers and probably one of potentially many reasons why we broke up. I truly know that if given that chance again, I'd give him that because I want him to actually be happy for once in his life.
