Carrie's Story
After graduating from high school I attended UNO for a semester (big mistake quitting college) I wanted to go into either Special Ed. or Physical Ed., but met my husband and married Don Regan on June 3, 1978. I have 3 beautiful children, Lindsey Regan-Throrne, who is 27 years old and lives in Charlotte, NC, she is an architectural interior designer for Gensler & Assoc., she graduated from the Art Institute of Charlotte, Alexa Regan is my 24 year old who lives in Jacksonville, FL, and graduated from the University of FL and is a recruiter for a nursing agency, my son Danny Regan is 16, very athletic, he plays baseball, football & basketball at Millard South. My focus has been raising my children and that has always been the #1 priority in my life. Through the years I've worked at the Mutual of Omaha Fund Management Co., which was bought out by Pioneer Investments in 1991, then went back to Mutual of Omaha as a Pension Analyst in 2001. r with Werner to Roxboro, NC. In July, 2006, Werner transferred him back to Omaha. While living in Gainesville I was employed at the University of FL Foundation and when we moved to Roxboro, NC I was employed at Southern Middle School as the middle school secretary. After 32 years of marriage I decided I wanted to get out of my marriage; it was a tough decision but I had to do it. I am currently employed at Alegent Health Lakeside Hospital and am the Executive Secretary for the VP/COO of the hospital.
My hobbies include my spin/cycling class and my power lifting class, I also enjoy riding my bike outside. I love going to outdoor concerts and spending time with family and friends. I love to travel, and want to do more of it.
My father died when I was 24, he was 58. Because of that I've learned to tell the people in my life each and every day how much I love them and care about them, because you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. Even though we all work hard to have nice things, the materialistic stuff is not important, it's the love in your heart and the people in your lives that count and mean everything.
