en it ended, I realized that my life had been on hold. So, I went to college in the evenings and weekends and worked a full-time job and had a household to take care of so my "College Life" wasn't the great parties and roommates that I imagined and it was alot of hard work, but 5 years later I did graduate Magna Cum Laude with a BA in MIS and I'm very proud of myself for doing that with all I had on my plate!! Workplace Other than the typical young teenager jobs, my first real job was a data entry job at Sears, then I moved on to main-frame work at DST. Then I moved over to Jackson County for about 2 years doing pretty much the same thing. In 1995 I went to work for Universal Underwriters as a printer operator and moved up in the ranks to a junior network administrator. I stayed there for 5 years and then took a year hiatus to take care of my 2nd child. In 2000 I took a contract job at a financial company networking their field offices. I then accepted a permanent position with that company and have gone from a network administrator to a network engineer. It's pretty exciting!! Military I thought I wanted to be in the military shortly after school and went through all the motions of signing up, but at THE very last minute, I chickened out and I'm glad I did, not that I'm knocking military life, I don't think I was cut out for something like that.
