Carter Porter:  

998 Wylie Bond Advisory Committee, was a member of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce, Wylie Downtown Merchants Association and was Charter President of the Wylie Kiwanis Club. During 2003 and 2004 he was a member of the Garland Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and the Allen Kiwanis Club Board of Directors. He has served as the Master of Ceremonies for Wylie’s Special Olympics, for the last 2 years. In addition to currently serving his second three year term of elected office, Carter also served two terms as a Director on the North Central Texas Council of Governments and now sits on the Wylie Animal Shelter Advisory Board and the Southeast Collin County Emergency Medical Services Coalition. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Biology from New Mexico State University with a major in Entomology and minors in Chemistry and Biology. Carter has previous experience in the defense industry, hospitality industry, both custom and fine jewelry, water treatment and pest control. For six years prior to entering the real estate profession, he owned the Wylie Gallery and Frame Shop in Downtown Wylie.".
