Coming to Andover was kind of difficult for me because my dad wa in the army and we traveled so much. Most of the folks at Andover had known each other all their lives. I'd gone to school in Ohio, California, Georgia, North Carolina, Germany and finally Maryland. I sort of felt outside the loop. My brother Don McRae, who graduated in 1967, on the other hand, knew EVERYONE. I remember when I graduated, I got dressed in a hurry in the dark at home (why, I don't remember). I ended up with one navy and one brown high heel on-thank god I had on a long gown-haha. It was sort of like that the whole time. After high school, I went on to UMBC, got a degree in Sociology (really useful!) and a graduate degree in Social work at UMAB at the School of Social Work. I worked for a long time at AACO. Dept of Social Services in Child welfare and later as an administrator in child services, foster care and protective services. I'd like to think I saved a few kids who were mistreated and needed help. Later I worked at Sheppard Pratt hospital, did private therapy, taught at UMAB, and worked at a group home for children on the Eastern Shore and at Catholic Services in Washington State, although I am not Catholic, but more a nature worshipper haha. While in Maryland I lived in Columbia, Westminister, and Princess Anne on the Easrern Shore, where I bought and restored a colonial house from the 1700's located next to an old historic graveya...Expand for more
