Catherine's Story
I got married a year out of high school to Albert R. Armstrong in 1959. I attended Pennsylvania State University for two years before getting pregnant with our first daughter, Montien, in 1961. Yvette, was born two years later in 1963.
Careerwise, I was employed as a Legal Secretary for several lawyers and firms for many years. I left Philadelphia several times to return to Georgia with my extended family. Our last daughter, Jeanine was born in 1969, after our return to Philly.
We relocated once again to Georgia in 1976, where I became a Paralegal with Georgia Legal Services(GLSP) for 16 years...Expand for more
. After leaving GLSP, I worked independently as a Social Security Disability Representive before the Social Security Administration for two years.
My husband and I were then called into the ministry of the gospel. I was ordained a minister in 2001 and presently co-pastor a small church in Brunswick, GA.
While in the ministry, I have been extensively trained in Christian counselling, which is what I am currently doing, along with the administrative work of the church.
I am enjoying my senior years and have no immediate plans for retirement. My latter years have been greater than my former.
