Catherine's Story
I live in Barrie currently with my son Ian. Ian loves history, art, gaming, travel and baseball. He has finished his first year at Lakehead University for History and Art. I'm a retired English and History teacher with a Guidance specialist with the Toronto Board of Education. I also did historical research for an historical site in Toronto. I wrote one book for them and my second book was featured on two episodes of a national television show, "The Other Side" on APTN. My research work was included in books by Canadian authors Terry Boyle and Andrew Hind. I've been a guest on three different tv talk shows and appeared in a local movie shown at the Stephen Leacock theatre. I like to read, write, travel, help shelter animals and I enjoy any activity on or in the water (boating, kayaking, swimming etc.). I was writing articles for 3 local newspapers and I started a small publishing business with a friend. I am the editor and she does all the graphic art work, layout and design. We worked on a book by a CTV newscaster and it went to #1 on Amazon Canada.

y sister Debbie is widowed. Her husband Ron Repke who went to FHCI died of MS at age 62. They ran their own advertising business in Waterloo. She has retired to her cottage in Colpoys Bay on the Bruce Peninsula where she continues her art work and has her own art studio and gallery. Her son Eric lives in BC and works for a helicopter snow skiing company and her daughter Julia lives in Toronto where she is studying to be a nurse. My other sister Susan lives in Winnipeg. Susan obtained her Masters Degree in Psychology and went into private practice. Her husband Don is a freelance artist and Content Manager/Graphic Designer for Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate. Their son Jamie is married, father of two boys, lives in Toronto and does digital media design for McMaster University and the CBC. Their daughter Stephanie was a Canadian National Gymnastics Gold Medalist and attended McMaster University. She is married, has a girl and boy and lives in Winnipeg. Their son Jonathan, who was coaching soccer in South Africa, now lives in England with his wife and their 4 children. He is a graphic artist/manager for Tourism of London. His office is beside the Tower of London.
