Catherine's Story

EDIT: I sent this 12 June 2018 to the bloody Classmates site: You sent me this email .and then you sent that same remembered marjorie webb classmate email again, for the seventh time. Your site is impossible to navigate. I keep trying to get off it. You send a message to say there is a photo to see. I look at the site and there's a blurry photo of a Christmas tree or something. It doesn't say who posted it. It says go to Facebook. I quit Facebook. It says Like or Skip on the photo. I click skip and a get a message that I've just left a message on someone's site to show I've "visited" them. **************************************************** Oh look! There's a place on this site where we're supposed to say something! My story is too long to tell and the best bits are unbelievable. I thought I wanted to be an actress, so I tried that at Bucks County Playhouse in the late 60s and found that acting wasn't IT. I was in a play with John Lithgow, and the singer Howard Keel, who starred in Dallas, gave me my running away money to get away from my first husband and go to Manhattan. As soon as I got to Manhattan, I met the most famous model in New York (Rollers in your head!. Shame on you!).My boyfriend in NY knew all the top models of that time. I worked at the Society of Illustrators and knew Mark and Bernie and Bob. One day Berry Berenson came in, and she really did look just like a lighthouse. After five years, I got crazy with New York and ran off to an archaeological dig in Gloucestershire. I met my second husband there. I married ...Expand for more
in Scotland and lived all over the UK for pretty much the next 30 years: Glasgow, Edinburgh, South Wales, Reading in Berkshire: Glastonbury in Somerset; the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire; Liverpool; London twice (Haringey and Notting Hill). I had two interludes back in the States during that time, one at Kripalu Yoga Ashram in Pennsylvania, and one in Gainesville, Florida, where I met the actor River Phoenix through his then-girlfriend. I have had dinner at the House of Lords. I have traipsed the Yorkshire Moors with Heathcliff. (What Force Ten gale??) Heathcliff lived in Penny Lane. The barber shop was still there but the shelter in the middle of the roundabout was all boarded up. The Japanese tourists scratched their heads. We took the ferry across the Mersey to the beach at Kirkby. I could feel New York as we waited on the dock. I returned to the States in 2006 when I was invited to Los Angeles by an old friend. I was there for six years. What a nightmare! I came up to small town America in the Pacific Northwest six years ago.. I love auriculas and violas and my own company. I want to be a medieval monk but I'm not. I don't want a boyfriend or a husband, and I am not available to cyber-entertain the boyfriends or husbands of others. I am in love with God. I wish I could tell you the really good bits of my life, but there's no way of saying that. EDIT 12 June 2018: So having said that, there still husbands who wish to "be friends"...I don't think these Classmates.com people are going to let me off this site until August.
