Catherine's Story
Life
Hi friends, I'm still here in Arizona, where I've been since graduation, but now Mesa. I got my B.A. at the University of Arizona in Tucson did some graduate work, some employment, some time in Northern Italy{I was actually fluent in Italian for a couple years}, landed in Phoenix, got married {hence the name change} and had a son who has become quite accomplished on the cello! My husband, Lee, works with accounting, and I do odd jobs here and there! Love to hear from you all! Cathy
School
Crushes? I had several. Inspiring teacher? no one in particular, but enjoyed most of them. Do it all over again? Not be so shy! School memories centered around fun times in band, with friends, Farrel's ice cream, the Springfield mall, football games, plays and enjoying everyone.
College
I had great roommates. Had many "all-nighters" finishing research papers and they were usually my best works! The cafeteria usually made me ill, so we did what we could with clothing irons, water heaters and popcorn makers! I learned a lot about myself and the direction I was looking for. I really developed some lasting relation/friendships.
Workplace

nt from working on the Cochise County road crew (flagging, painting, pulling weeds and ditch digging to say a few) to various odd jobs and while still in college working for the State Of Arizona in the department of disablities. First as a tech, then a "Lead"-kind of assistant supervisor, then a Supervisor in Residential and after a couple of years, a Supervisor in Vocational. Then I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was sent to the Milano mission, or northern Italy and that was quite a life changing and developing experience! Upon my return, I worked for various small publising companies until my son was born. I then chose to be a "stay at home mom", which I found challenging, but I loved it, I also ran an in home daycare for 8 years to suppliment the income. Currently I am involved in a lot of volunteer and humanitarian work, which is very satisfying. I am also frequently asked for flute solos, "Messiah" performances and occasionally my son-on cello, my husband-on piano and organ and I will perform trios, usually always arranged by me, even thought I would prefer someone else doing the arrangements.
