Catherine is from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. She is married. Her schools include F.H. Collins Senior Secondary School. She later attended the University of Alberta, completing a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing).

"I ran the Royal Victoria Marathon before I was 40. I took to Polar Plunge before I turned 50 and in August 2017 I got my first tattoo so I could say I did that before I was 60! The tattoo was planned to be a "queen bee" on my back shoulder so I could tell Kevin to snuggle up and kiss the queen bee. But when Kevin said he would just get a fly swatter out, I decided to get a humming bird tattoo instead.....LOL!
I have been married to Kevin Bolstad since I was 18, and this year (2024) we have been married 43 years.

Joshua graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts and subsequently completed his carpentry red seal certification, then opened his own contracting company doing home renovations. He is married to Mandi and they have two children (Ben and Norah). It is fun being a Nana to these wonderful children who are growing up all too fast.
I retired in January 2021 from the position of CEO at NWT Tourism. I took about six months off and then began taking on consulting work. I am consulting full time, and have recently been appointed to the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board, so that is filling up some of my quiet time with some very technical reading. I also serve on the Yellowknife Airport Advisory Committee to the Government of the Northwest Territories. I am skiing in winter, kayaking in summer and have begun to pursue gardening with a passion.
