Cathy's Story

Life I just thank God that I have been given the time and grace to get things right on my own! Hope you all do, too! I wonder if ANY of the numbers inour LHE Buzz Book are still good? Mine are not. But that was a pretty cool item! I believe we should handle one another with care and be involved with our world is as positive a way as possible. If I weren't a Christian, my life would have turned out very different than it has. I am pretty satisfied with my life now and thank God every day for all of His Grace and Mercy. I have become a raving, pro-life Catholic Convert. Hope everyone from East, and EMU, is well and happy! "Don't worry. Be happy, now." School I'd let Kurt Kushner take my car to make his bus for his hockey game is Copper Harbor so I could stay on cheerleading, or just scrap cheerleading all together for volleyball, track, and softball from the start. Mrs. Pierantoni would be pleased to know that I can type accurately and quickly now! I got A's in Public Speaking in college, too. And if asked to write an article about anything I wanted for the Talon I could do it now, no ghost writer or gross subjects required. College Stayed close to home at EMU vs WMU as planned. I participated in Campus Crusade for Christ, Residence Hall Association as a VP for a hall, EMU Student Government by becoming Coordinator at the REACT Office which is still an office of Student Government at EMU that assists students with landlord-tenant problems by providing resources and education. I gave talks at Speaker's Bureaus that we sponsored, which included educating faculty...Expand for more
about our work. We also sponsored the annual Fall Apartment Fair for returning students. I had fun at EMU Float-A-Thons, in the EMU Gospel Choir, and Intramural Sports. I was even the first Student Cook the EMU Dining Commons ever had. Took my time finishing then got my MRS right after so the big career took a back burner. Workplace I work for an auto-industry company. My journey home from college was also a journey home to the Catholic Church. (See The Journey Home show on EWTN.com television) I did my student teaching, saw Jesse Jackosn give a speech, and was confirmed as a Charismatic Catholic in the Dioscese of Lansing all at Ypsilanti High School! That was before Christ the King of Ann Arbor had built it's stone structure on Domino's Farms, so the only place we fit was the Ypsi gym. Ypsi High was called "Our Lady Queen of Ypsilanti" at that time. Because my now ex-husband was still in college and I wanted to take more classes, too, after grad from EMU I subbed (junior high and high school) for 10 years interspersed with working 40 hours for the phone company part of that time. Someday I might teach full time. My Cert isiin Home Ec, 7-12 Language Arts (Miss Grabner), and any subject 7 & 8. My BS continuation to a grad degree could be in Marriage and Family Therapy if I ever decide on that. People who need to talk and listen still come to me, anyway! If you are from LHE and want to communicate after 080509, please join facebook since many of us have migrated there due to it being a free site and easier to use than this one. Take care out there!
