Catherine's Story
Life is good! Being a Type I diabetic with complications for the past 20 years has made me value every day and make everyday count. I've had several close encounters with death due to this stupid disease, and my daddy left us without much warning because of it.
My neck was broken when a hit and run driver crashed into my vehicle several years ago, so I've had two spinal reconstructions with eight cervical and thoracic vertebrae fused with two feet of titanium rods and 16 screws.
I've beat breast cancer! After all that medical stuff, I try not to sweat the small stuff.
Since graduating high school:
I attended West Valley College where I obtained several Associate degrees.
I married Lou in 1983 after five years of dating. We divorced in 1997.
Our daughter, Giovanna, is the light of my life and the reason I breathe. She is smart, beautiful, comical, and such a joy. She and her husband Brian have Blessed me with three grandsons! (I also have a grandson and a grand daughter from my late stepson.)
I graduated West Valley, twice! Graduated from SJSU in 2003 after returning to college on an academic adventure! I hold bachelor's degrees in Business Admin/Sales & Marketing;
Liberal Arts; Communication Studies with emphasis in Speech &...Expand for more
Debate; English with emphasis in Linguistics; and several teaching certificates.
I've owned my own Interior Design business, worked my way up the corporate ladder in several computer firms, was the GATE Coordinator and ESL & Reading Intervention specialist for 3rd/4th/5th grades for 9 years in Cambrian School District.
I met Andee in June 2004 at a motorcycle event near the Oregon border where I was a leather vendor, and he was my customer. I retired from teaching and moved to Fair Oaks CA when we married in 2006, and I was blessed to have my ailing daddy walk me down the aisle; he died 3 months later, leaving me devastated by his loss.
Andee owned two companies, one of which was a commercial hot water heating systems corporation where I was CFO. We retired in 2019 and built a new house in Arizona where we now reside.
One of my favorite pass times is riding my own motorcycle ... my current scoot' is a custom 2005 Honda Shadow 750 Aero named "Girlfriend." I enjoy attending Aqua Zumba and yoga classes, and I design fused glass art pieces.
Contact me if you want to find out more or catch up on passed time! I'd love to hear from you!
And Please Remember: Spend every day as though it were your last. It just might be.!
God Bless!
