Life is good! Being a Type I diabetic with complications for the past 20 years has made me value every day and make everyday count. I've had several close encounters with death due to this stupid disease, and my daddy left us without much warning because of it. My neck was broken when a hit and run driver crashed into my vehicle several years ago, so I've had two spinal reconstructions with eight cervical and thoracic vertebrae fused with two feet of titanium rods and 16 screws. I've beat breast cancer! After all that medical stuff, I try not to sweat the small stuff. Since graduating high school: I attended West Valley College where I obtained several Associate degrees. I married Lou in 1983 after five years of dating. We divorced in 1997. Our daughter, Giovanna, is the light of my life and the reason I breathe. She is smart, beautiful, comical, and such a joy. She and her husband Brian have Blessed me with three grandsons! (I also have a grandson and a grand daughter from my late stepson.) I graduated West Valley, twice!
