Catherine's Story
Life
I stayed in Williamsport after graduation. I've been here all my life, and no matter how much the town changes, I still love living here. In 1982, I married a man from NJ. I have a 30-year-old daughter who majored in music education and violin performance at LVC,and is now teaching music at Hannah More School in Reisterstown, MD. It's a private school for autistic, mentally handicapped and emotionally defiant children in grades 7-12. She also gives private music lessons. She also performs with the Kelly Bell Band and Naval Entertainment. She recently obtained her Master's, and is currently working on her Doctorate. sons. I quit my job in an OB/GYN office to raise my kids. Five years ago, I started working at Walmart, unloading trucks. I now work third shift as a stocker.The people I work with are terrific, and it sure beats paying for a gym membership! I've also been an Independent Sales Rep for Avon, Inc. since 1998. Truthfully, I hate the "empty nest". Being a stay-at-home mom was always my dream, and now it's ended. I was divorced in 2012 after almost 30 years of marriage, and I moved to South Williamsport. I don't know what the future holds. Right now, it's kind of scary. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time and have my babies back. Most times, I don't because they have become incredible individuals, and they will make a difference in this world.
