Catherine's Story
Hi everyone,
I remember most of you and those that I do not, I've checked out in the year book. After 41 years have passed, several events have occurred in my life.
After graduating from Helena's I worked for quite sometime as an Executive Secretary (yes, I think that was the reason I went to St. Helena's BUSINESS School. That was a great experience and allowed me to do some traveling before I met my first "real" love at the at of 28, Robert Coscia. We were married and had two fabulous children (boys). Those seven years of marriage created some of the most wonderful memories I still cherish today. My husband of 7 years, suddenly passed away and I found myself raising two boys (for the next 18 years). Most of these 18 years were very exciting, however. During this time, I moved to Seminole, Florida from Valley Cottage, New York. I decided to go back to school at the ripe young age of 45 to complete my bachelor's. That of course was not enough so I decided to continue on for my Master's. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working in Clearwater, Florida. I enjoy my work (most days) I counsel children with severe mental health issues and who are living in a therapeutic foster care environment.

. In 2005, I was diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer. After several months of treatment, inclusive of surgery, chemo and radiation therapy, I have become a three year survivor. I thank the good Lord each day I awake, eventhough this comes with additional aches and pains. I'll still take life over its option. My children have been my life and still are for the most part. They have taught me most everything I know about being a mom and continue to do so. The love of my life right now is my second husband, Nicolo'. He and I met 5 years ago, just before I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with my Master's. He came from Europe (Torino, Italy) to visit his brother (my next door neighbor) and never left; the rest is history. We were married in 2003 and my best friend Margaret (Wagner) Herlihy "Class of 1967" was our maid of honor. My husband and I love to travel (where-ever, locally or to Europe), however, our full-time jobs limit the time we have to do this. Most of time is spent working and relaxing at home. There is very little I would change in my life. I would re live both the positives and negatives because I am a firm believer in life's journeys. Each journey of my life has taken me to various places most of which have been pleasant.
