Catherine M's Story
Hi class of 1973 this is Cathy Smith,Russ,Williamson. I live in Bartow again. I've lived in Las Vegas for the last 15 years , I was married to Robert Russ for 18 years. From 1973 till 1991. I moved back to Bartow in 89. Then when my oldest girl Holly and her husband were in the Air Force in Las Vegas they moved me out there. 1993. Was there from August till Dec. 93. Moved back to Bartow again. But before I left I was dating a guy and he ask me to marry him before I left. I said yes and he followed in Feb. 94. We got married and were married 17 years before he died in 2011. We had moved back to Las Vegas in 96. We had our 17th anniversary on the 11th of Feb. and he was in the hospital at the time. He passed away on the 24th of Feb. 2011. I moved back to Bartow again. Lived with Holly a little while then Cassie for a little while. Both girls have 2 kids of their own. Now I live on my own. ends. Well Cassie is going to have another baby in March again. . Well Cassie had Makayla on March 12th. and she had another girls this year Feb. 24th. Emma Marie. She gave her my middle name. Holly and her family are moving to Tn. next month.
Well since I wrote on here last we had our 45th reunion. Really enjoyed seeing everyone that made it.
I'm engaged to a guy from Birmingham, England. He got to meet with a lot of you at the reunion. He met lot of very nice people. He has been here with me since August but has to go back so I can do the stuff for the K-1 Visa so we can get married. We are hoping he can get back round Christmas. That is all for now.
Here it is couple years later. Mike was very close to getting all his paperwork and the visa when the pandemic hit. Now he is stuck in England till the travel ban is lifted. I had an emergency back on June 7th. Had to have emergency surgery. It will be August or September before the surgeon goes back in to put everything back together. I'm doing good. Hope Mike gets here before the next surgery. Will write more later.
