Catherine's Story
I have worked in the medical field since 1970. I retired in 2008 for medical reasons secondary to my Multiple Sclerosis, which I was diagnosed with in 2006. For the past 11 years or so, I have lived with my best friend and partner Bob. We are very active in the Lions Club and Viet Nam Veterans. Bob was an MP/medic in Nam so he gives me my weekly injection. We bought a house in Florida over by the gulf coast last year. Currently we are living in Center Line. e on Mackinac Island on the bluff 6 houses down from the Grand Hotel. In three years I will be a bonified snowbird. Florida in winter and Mackinac in the summer. For the past year, I have been Secretary on the Advisory Board for Kramer Homes along with Jeff Lang as president. I am very proud to say that we are very good friends with the real Forest Gump; Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient = Sammy L. Davis and his wife Dixie. Because of them, we travel to Missouri and Kokomo, Indiana every year for Viet Nam Veterans Reunions.
