Catherine's Story
I hope old friends remember me like I was because I sure haven't changed much! I wish I could say that I have grown up a little bit that isn't quite true. I'm definitely happier and truer to myself than ever before. I'm single, but my life is FULL of Hilarious Bad Dating Stories! (I know I've been the subject of a few too!)
The greatest love of my life always said: "Marriage is for the socially inept." I never believed that but he ended up married and I did not! Ahh, the ironies of life. I still dream about him though--20 years later! Three or four times a year I see him in absolutely vivid, tactile, virtual dreams. (I wake up wondering where you are, Bear, because these dreams are so real! But I know why you don't want to stay in touch.) Maybe one day the dreams will fade. Big sigh. 11 roses.
I live in Germany now. I've become the successful rider that I always wanted to be (so what) but mostly I'm really happy because I love what I do, I liv...Expand for more

Contrary to the beliefs of my hopelessly Republican brother, Rich, Europe is wonderful! I travel to horse shows all over the continent from Stockholm to London to Paris to Krakow to Cannes. (Let me tell you: The South of France ROCKS!) The food and wine is fabulous and guess what folks, I've actually learned to cook--my second passion in life.
I walk to work (1km) through the forest with my dogs every morning that I am home. We go for longer jaunts in the evenings. Weekends are full of travel with horse showing or teaching seminars in various parts of the world. I don't go on holidays much, but every day is like a holiday for me so that's OK!
I did FINALLY travel to Lebanon in August of the this year to visit my family. Had the time of my life. If I ever retire to a place where horses are no longer important to me, I'll live in Byblos. And export wine... Namaste to all!!! Catherine
