Catherine's Story
Life
From Somerville, I moved on to College Park, MD where I lost myself for 5 years and emerged with two undergraduate degrees. One is in Art History and Archaeology, the other is Anthropology and together they make a hearty field technician in the wonderful world of North American archaeology. I worked for two years in the field (western PA, WV, NY, and NJ). My brain was dying so I went back to Rutgers for some post-bach classes in Cartography and I currently work in-house at a Cultural Resource Management co. in Cranbury, NJ. I do the Computer Aided Drafting graphics for our reports. The fun part is in the historic maps. I have been part of an outdoor leadership club (AMC) for many years and enjoy leading biking, hiking and camping trip...Expand for more
s. I also worked for Pocono Whitewater outfitters for a season, guiding on the Lehigh River. I wish to continue my outdoor leadership abilities through school and more experiences. I continue to play saxophone and have picked up bass guitar. I own a house in New Brunswick, vegetable garden and all, and I have a great dog, Lula.
Since last writing in 2001, I got married, had two kids, bought a 4 acre lot with handy-man house on it in Hillsborough and switched to the competing company within Cultural Resource Management. I play in a blue grass band now singing with three lovely ladies in a barber shop quartet style. We play out in New Brunswick and Highland Park. My husband and I continue gardening and raising wonderful, if a bit wild, kids.
