Cathi's Story

Cathi is from Aurora, Illinois. Cathi's schools include West Aurora High School. Cathi's interests include Animals, DIY, Sports. More about Cathi:"I graduated a year early from high school, so you would think that would put me on the fast track once I went to college,but it didn't. Not really sure what I wanted to do with my life I attended Waubonsee with the thought of becoming a teacher, but that quickly changed. I did finally graduate from WCC in 1982...having to much fun in my free time. I got married in 1984. After a few years of marriage I felt like I still needed to do more with my life but was not sure what. My older brother Bruce had joined the Navy and would send home post cards from the places he visited so I desided that was what I wanted to do, plus I was getting tired of the cold Illinois winters. My husband was not all that happy with my decision but I did it anyway's and have no...Expand for more
regrets. I spent 20 year's in the Navy, 13 active and 7 in the reserves. It did cost me my first marriage or at least was part of the reason. While in the Navy I lived in Brunswick Maine, which is beyond beautiful. From there I spent 4 wonderful years in Rota Spain area. While in Spain I went back to college and go my BA, which made my dad happy. I was then sent to Phoenix, AZ to be a recruiter. While in Phoenix I ended up getting married again and desided to get out of the Navy and go into the reserves. We adopted our only son Tyler from Russia in 2001. When Tyler was 3 we realized he was autistic which has been a bit of a challenge. Overall life has been good with a few up's and down's but I can not complain. I do not work by choice, have a nice home and a housefull of wonderful pet's which help make my life complete, plus my health has been good all my life!! So as they say "Life is Good".".
