12-14-09 We bought a house in Greensboro back in April. Cute little house, a yard to work in but haven't managed to do much to it yet. Worked for a few months, March to July, in the plant department at Lowes. Was too tired to do much when I got home and it was often too hot. And the next door neighbor has a pond so the mosquitos were a serious pain in the derriere. After 11 months at his full-time job with a tile company, the VA decided to offer Hubby a chance to go to college and he jumped at it. They give a housing allowance so he was able to quit his full time job and a get a part-time job on campus. He finished his first semester with an 'A' average. In the spring I'll go back to my seasonal job at Lowes and Hubby will be in his second semester of college, he's really enjoying it. And we have our cats back. 10-11-08 Well after four months we made it to Seattle to meet up with friends and decided it was time to go home, money was running low and well, married people aren't suppose to spend that much time together, things were getting a little rough. Four months to get to Seattle but only two weeks to get back home, we did manage to catch most of the things we had hoped to on the original return trip plan and found a few surprise stops along the way like the Longaberger Basket company corporate office built to look like a large basket and Sundance, Wyoming where the Sundance Kid got his name after spending 18 months in jail. We got back to NC to my brother's house in Greensboro the second week of August and began house and job hunting but the bank decided we needed a job before they would give us a loan. We've been in our apartment for a month now, 6 more to go and we hope to be in a house again, I miss working in my yard. My cats are still with my friend in Canadaigua, ...Expand for more
