Cathy's Story
Life
Married the guy I met while in high school, had two kids, worked, volunteered way too much, had a political foray, elected to School Board for 12 years, owned a restaurant (that was insanity), survived two kids in French Immersion, took over the care of multiple family 'must have' pets, took care of two failing parents, travelled a lot, most recently through China and Japan.
Recently seperated and relocated to Victoria. Loving it here, did not think I would. Great city, great job, lots to do, expecially outdoors. I live downtown, walk to work. Finding ...Expand for more
it a little slow making a new social circle, missing family and friends.
Travel a big priority, was in Cuba in the Spring, and planning a tropical jaunt next January, maybe the Cook Islands, not sure.
Taking a night course in Japanese, just cuz I want to. Have not volunteered for anything yet, keeping my head low in a new venue, but will probably jump back into that scene. Always meet great people that way.
Have a UBC degree but never really used it, eclectic work life, mostly satisfying. On the government gravy train now, working on building up the pension!
