Cathy's Story
I graduated from Butler and went on to graduate from Athens State College (now University) with a degree in History/English. My first job out of college was in a law office. I learned TONS about the law and human nature! (And vowed never to work in another law office!) While working at the law office, I married my college sweetheart. I then went on to work in the banking industry and for a NASA contractor before quitting work to stay home after the birth of my daughter in September 2000. with her until she started preschool at a Montessori school at age 4. Three months later I was offered a job at the school and worked there for 4 years. In August 2008, I accepted a job in the external affairs office of a non-profit biotechnology research institute. In 2013, I changed employers and now work at Hexagon (formerly Intergraph) in Madison, AL. I have lived entirely in Huntsville since graduating, but I have enjoyed traveling to Israel, Turkey, Dubai, France, various Caribbean islands, and throughout the U.S.
