Cathy's Story
Life
My husband and I have been married since 1972. We have been back in Florida since 1980. We have 3 children, 2 girls, current age 32 & 30 and 1 son, 25. We currently have 3 grandkids, 2 girls & 1 boy and we really enjoy them. We have been part of the native american pow wow circuit for the last 5 years and we belong to a drum group called the "Family Drum Singers" you can check us out at our website. We travel all over Florida performing at pow wows, as well as Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama & Indiana. It's really fantastic getting back to our Native American heritage. nce the last name) and for years & years he tried denying his heritage due to the way he grew up. But my heritage, part Cherokee & Creek, which I was never told about, kept calling me and would not let me rest. Anyway, to make a long story short, we now both fully embrace the Native American ways. Unless you have been to a real pow wow and also embrace the native ways in living your everyday life, you can not know the peace and joy that it brings. It is so calming. I promise that I am not a kook, just a blond haired, green eyed Native that loves to live life to the fullest and have fun.
