Cathy's Story
I was pretty shy in high school. Most of my classmates probably don't even remember me. After high school I went to college at SPJC and worked. I was a college drop-out and joined the military. Didn't think I'd stay in and retire! After my military career I went back to college and earned a degree in Business Management and Accounting, but didn't know what I wanted to do with it, just wanted to start another career. Then, a light bulb moment happened... to do what I wanted and make money at it. I have always loved to sew and had started quilting as a hobby to keep my sanity while my kids were teenagers. ple all over the USA. I have been in national and international quilt magazines and travel to learn new techniques to pass on to my customers. I could not have done any of this without the help and support of my husband, Mike. He gave up his woodshop and turned it into my quilt studio. We spend our time fishing for halibut and salmon while setting crab and shrimp pots. Life is good in Alaska.
