Life I only attended AVHS from the middle of junior year through senior year, before that, Hoffman Estates High School in IL., so I doubt y'all remember me. The Lord has been good to me all these years, and I can't thank Him enough for it. He has been my strength and my joy. After I graduated AVHS, my folks divorced. My mother and I followed my sister and her kids to Atlanta, Georgia to "thaw out¿, to which I'm STILL thawing out! It was great having the Olympics here in 1996; I attended an Olympic baseball game. One of the lasts to be held at Fulton County Stadium before it became a parking lot for Ted Turner Stadium. The Lake Lanier events were held 7 miles from my house. Atlanta has grown so much since then that it's now 20 miles bumper to bumper out of a 37 mile drive to work! And that's on a good day. I lived with my Mom for all of 35 years and 16 days. She was my mentor, best friend, financial advisor, and always put up with me. The last 10 years she bravely fought one form of Cancer after another. The later 3 of those years I took care of her as if she was the child and I was the parent. She lost her fight on January 12,1999. Her faith never failed ...Expand for more
