Cathy's Story

Life Can't believe my daughter is 24 and in Pharmacy School! Or that I am 54! I've lived in Bloomington ever since I left Chesterton for IU. I have several pet birds and a guy. Drive a rusty old Honda and work as a naturalist for the county parks and recreation department. Teach skiing in the winter part-time, too. I'm involved in lots of environmental organizations and enjoy playing soccer, canoeing, hiking, camping, and weight lifting. My mother passed away in November of 2005. School I'm glad it is over. am a happier person now than I ever was then. College Margaret Kredlo was my first roommmate at Read Hall at IU. She was a year ahead of us. She left after the first semester and I stayed one more year in dorms before moving out. Those were life-expanding days. Finished a BS and 2 Master's degrees. Workplace Camp counselor. Waited tables one summer. Not for me! Assitant instructor at IU. Part-time retail merchandiser for American Greetings. Lots of seasonal Natural Resources jobs, finally full-time at my current position. I like what I do.
