Cathy's Story
Life
My life! Mann, where to start. I believe it should all begin when I met the love of my life just a few weeks after graduating from Marian Catholic H.S. Phil and I were married on October 19, 1996 in St. John, Indiana and this year we will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. Phil is a teacher/coach at his old high school, St. Anthony in Effingham where we now reside. He teaches religion/sports medicine and coaches Varsity Boys Golf, Varsity Girls' Basketball and Track. Myself, I am a Teacher's Aide/Dance Coach for the Teutopolis School District which is the neighboring town to Effingham. We are the proud parents of three little ones, Abby (Abigail Rose) who is 8 years old and A.J. (Anthony Joseph) who is 7 years old and Anna Marie who is 2 years old. They are the lights of our lives! We are so blessed! Life is good!
School
Schools! Let us count how many I have attended in my life, actually lets not. While growing up in Shelby Township, Michigan I attended Utica Community Schools until the transfer to South Chicago at the beginning of my junior year of high school. I...Expand for more
then attended Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois. After graduating from Marian Catholic H.S. in 1994 I attended Lewis University on the westside of Chicago for a year working on a degree in Aviation. Had a ball flying planes and wasting time, but realized that the money that I had to spend to become a pilot that I wanted to be was too high so I left, moved home, worked retail, went then to Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois working on my associates in Business Administration and got married. After marriage and moving to Central Illinois I picked up where I left off and entered into Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. I graduated from there in 1998 with an Associates Degree in Business Administration and then transferred immediately into Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. While there I learned I was pregnant with our first child, so I now attend one class at a time majoring in Special Education. The family is first. I am working on that long term plan slowly, but that is OK. I already work in my field so I couldn't ask for more!
