Cathy's Story

I have not updated my profile for 8 years! yikes. I have been married to Ken for 24 years. We have lived in Wilsonville for 20 of those years. I have a 21 year old son who is about to finish his CAD degree and my 18 year old daughter just graduated from Wilsonville High. I have been heavily involved in volunteering in my community. I have helped run Camp Fire USA programs, Boy scout programs and have volunteered in may capacities at the schools. I just finished a stint on the All night Grad night party committee. Parties have come a long way since we had ours!!!!! I am currently on the Board of Directors for the Wilsonville Sister City Association. We host a delegation of Japanese Students from Kitakata Japan every fall. We have hosted 10 Japanese students over the years. Now that my daughter has graduated I will just stay involved with the planning and continue my role as treasurer.... probably wont host students anymore... maybe ad...Expand for more
ult chaperones though. After running a daycare from my home for 18 years, I went back to the outside working world three years ago. I currently work for DePaul industries as a Job coach. I supervise Developmentally disabled workers in an integrated work environment. The most interesting thing about this is I am currently working some with a former classmate! This was my field of study in college so it is nice to be back into it. I graduated from Western Oregon in 1984 with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Special education. For those who still love music of the "80's"... I am still a huge STYX fan. You can pretty much find me at most NW dates. I am happy to share my wonderful Styx adventures with who ever will humor me! My favorite hobby is geocaching....you can look it up on line if you are interested. My family was features on Grants Getaways about seven years ago for the activity. Thats all for now..
