Cathy's Story
I think my profile picture says it all. I was a police officer from 1981 until I retired (early) in 2013. I was involved in a crash on duty. A pickup truck pulled out in front of me at 84th and Centennial on June 3, 2010 at 12:15 a.m. The driver was lost and didn't realize he had a red flashing light. I was traveling at about 45 mph and did everything humanly possible to avoid the crash. I ended up T-boning him and totaling my cruiser. Two shoulder surgeries later I realized law enforcement is a young person's game and retired June 7, 2013.

school. Not a bad gig. The kids are okay for the most part. Lots of gang members, but so far they haven't been a problem. I was asked if I wanted to work at Burke, but I haven't set foot in the school since December 1, 1975, so I told them no, Central would be my school. Take care all. Maybe I'll see you at the 40th reunion, if there is one.
Central High School was a fun school to work at. The kids, well, kids will be kids. The Administration was very wishy washy when it came to enforcing their rules. They liked to "cherry pick" which rules to enforce and which to turn a blind eye. I left October 7, 2015 to enjoy my retirement. Take care and stay safe.
