Life
James and I have been married 29 years and we have two children Catherine (26) who is in school to get her nursing degree and Brantley (24) who is in the Coast Guard, he just re-upped for another four years.
We have a total of 2 dogs - a damnation oops! - I meant dalmation and a Heinz 57. They belonged to the kids since we've had them at least nine years and since the kids left they are mine. There are also 5 (yes 5) cats in residence. They wander up and I can't turn them away.
Jamesis retired from Methodist Hospitals of Dallas after 34 years. He's been busy getting some projects done around the house. I am a bookseller at Barnes & Noble and love my job. It combines the two things ...Expand for more
I like best reading and working with people.
I get back to Barnesville at least three or four times a year since Mama is still there and so are Christy and Brantley (brother) and his wife, Leah. Gordon has really changed but when you get home frequently the changes don't seem so bad. I'm amazed at how much Gordon has grown and very thankful that the school still exist. Barnesville would have dried up and blown away without the school there. It's still a wonderful town - even if it isn't like it was when we were growing up. What place ever is? They all change and we have to change with them.
Hope to hear from some of y'all soon. I may be in Texas but I'm still a Southern girl (woman?).
