Wow! It's been quite a ride from there to here. Are you ready for the details of this retired librarian's life? When I went to part time status at the Orion Township Public Library, I had some time on my hands which I filled with a tiny bit of character (not runway) modeling and I was the Detroit Free Press YAK. Yep, the 7 foot tall costumed character, that took me to schools to promote reading and mall meet and greet sessions, where I often had little ones hanging on one leg or the other, saying "I love you, Yak." Remembering that Yak's can't talk, it was quite the challenge to help lead the Christmas sing at the Henry Ford. Then in my spare time, I dealt blackjack at corporate parties. I retired in 2004 on disability. But I still have fun, especially when I'm with my Unitarian friends. Beacon church is located in Troy, MI. I've lived in Rochester for a long time and was active in the community for a goodly number of years (Zoning Board for 15 years.) My son, who owns a property management company in Rochester lives about 10 minutes away. Over the years we've had three Flat-coated Retrievers. Then we were blessed with Otis who was a hound in the front half and a lab in the back. Our most recent member of the family is a female Golden Retriever.
