Life After graduating from Incarnate Word in 1968, I attended San Antonio College for two semesters and realized I was not ready to continue my education. I entered the workforce environment employed at various businesses throughout Texas and California. I then became employed for the federal government at the Department of Defense for three years, and transferred to the Department of Treasury under the Internal Revenue Service for 13 years in a GS-12 position. During this time I married and had one daughter, who has given me three grandchildren, all girls. They are 4, 3, and 1 in ages. I divorced early into the marriage, and raised my daughter on my own. I never remarried.
