Cecilia's Story
Life
After graduating from Incarnate Word in 1968, I attended San Antonio College for two semesters and realized I was not ready to continue my education. I entered the workforce environment employed at various businesses throughout Texas and California. I then became employed for the federal government at the Department of Defense for three years, and transferred to the Department of Treasury under the Internal Revenue Service for 13 years in a GS-12 position.
During this time I married and had one daughter, who has given me three grandchildren, all girls. They are 4, 3, and 1 in ages.

Bachelors degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration. I traveled to Scotland in pursuance of a Masters in International Law, at the University of Aberdeen, but due to 9-11, at which I was abroad at the time of the event, I returned to San Antonio and continued with a Masters in International Politics focusing in Latin American. I am presently teaching, as a lecturer, at the University of Texas at Pan American in Edinburg, Texas, US Government and Texas Politics. I truly enjoy teaching. It is such a rewarding position.
This summer 2008, I am teaching in Salamanca, Spain with the International Study Abroad Program at UTPA. I am truly enjoying this program.
I retired from the UT system in 2016. I am now teaching as a part time adjunct at Texas A&M San Antonio, TX.
I enjoy passing my time with my family and friends and traveling.
