Cecilia's Story

I moved to California in October of 76' about 6 months after I graduated. I love California and cannot conceive any other place as home. Shortly after moving here I was hired by the phone company, I started as an operator and then worked myself out as a cable spllicer and then as an Installation and Repair person. I worked for them for almost 20 years. Afterwards, I worked for IBM as a contractor for almost 5 years as a Text, Graphics and Proposal Coordinator. ived here about 15 years ago but left because I brought property in Silverado Canyon and then left Silverado to live in Los Angeles for about 12 years but really missed Long Beach so I made the decision to came back and now I feel I am home again and have lived here for almost 2 years. What's really cool is that they film Dexter here in Long Beach. I love it when I see places in Long Beach which are right around the corner from me in the background of Dexter. It is just like when I lived in Los Angeles,I had no idea that the place I moved into--right down the street is where they use to film the x-files, they used the apartment as Muldaur's apartment.
