Cedric's Story

Hello everyone... I used the, "Story Wizard for this one, so if things don't seem to have a flow or aren't in some type of order, it's because they're not. I just hope you enjoy it. Some I'll always remeber from my childhood is when I was 14 years old and went on a two week trip cross-country from Californis to Ohio, then over into Canada. My first job was at McDonalds, where I got paid $4.10/hr., to take orders at the window. What I remember most about it is the fact that so many of my high school friend both ate and worked there. I am amazed that my best friend Derrick Bassett met in elemetary school and are still good friends today. In 10 years, I hope to be ready to retire comfortably. I'm going to get there by saving as much money as possible. In 2005 I entered a five-state Karaoke Competition with 35 competitiors and came in #1 winning $1000.00 (I used that for the England trip) and a waist high trophey. I share my home with my partner of almost eight years, my father, and two cats, which I find to be a blessing. I probably dress the way I did about ten years ago. My best friend would tell you I'm awesome with people, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as pretty cool. My first crush was a girl named Jeri Jordan and she and met at age sixteen and then just parted ways. I saw her again ten years later. She had a son and was going to shcool to get her Bachelors Degree if I remember correctly. I haven't heard from her since. I am now working as a Counselor for 28 day Rehab facilty here in carson City. Did you see the movie, "28 Days" with Sandra Bullock? That's what I do. I'm looking to get my Bachelors to continue my career in the field of Social Work/Social Wellfare. My current age is 48. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be living life on easy street. I was so completely wrong. I can honestly say that my life has taken some wild turns, but i am so truly happy! I ended up living in a Dorm at Loma Linda University the semester after leaving South Gate High and basically threw away $7, 200.00, I wasn't ready for school. In 1984 I went to Cerritos College in Norwalk, Califonia and joined a Fraternity: Alpha Phi Beta. The partying was awesome, but I still wasn't ready for continuing my education. If ...Expand for more
I won $100 million, I'd give 20% of it to the church/charity, then spend the rest on family, good friends and myself. If I could I'd like to se Mrs. Hinkley. I just didn't get Political Science at that time, I would surely get an A+ now. I got the opportunity to canvas for one of our Presidential Candidates... guess which one. I don't have any children of my own, but in working with the Adolescent Drug Education Program with Juvenile Probation, i both empathize and sympathize with the struggles that young people deal with today. If I could improve my home, I'd add granite coutertops to the kitchen and that's it. Our dream home would is the one we live in. O.K. a coat of paint. My biggest surprise is my father living with us, being happy and healty at the age of 83. Right now the only obsession we have is the HBO Series: True Blood. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Constance Ploshett, because she and i were really good friends. I was even in her wedding party. I now live in carson City, Nevada. I moved here to fing mny pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. i found it with my partner, my job, our 2 story-four bedroom home, and our wonderful lives. My hero's are my grandmothers' and my parents, they all instilled in me the drive, determination, and the values that have made me successful and comfortable both in and with my life. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have intelligence, stamina, and patience to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The wildest thing I ever did in school was while getting into my Fraternity, I was at a Frat Party dressed like a girl and the girls form our litle sister sorority had their neophites dressed like guys. Somehow we all get seperated and I took one of the Brother's(already in the Fraternity) car keys, found his car and drove up and down the streets looking for my Pledge Brothers ( the guys trying to get into the Fraternity). That's how I got my name: "Wheels". I teach a Cardio Kick-Boxing Class here in town so that's how I blow off steam. I hope friends remeber me as just a nice guy who would help anyone if he could. I always wanted to be a Airline Pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were glad I chose a safer profession.
