Celia's Story
My current age is 47. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be ready to retire & enjoy life. I was so completely wrong.
Grew up in Columbus, IN. Attended Central Jr High - however, the new High School district lines changed in my sophmore year and I was one of the few who had to attend Columbus North (while all my friends went to East...)

WHY MOVE: Husband from NJ and better career move for me

I started a career in banking while living in Columbus - continued this path for nearly 20 yrs - became a Vice Pres. (bank)of Internal Audit/Investigations & Ops)

This may not be a popular choice, but one of my heros would be Martha Stewart. She came from a regular middle-class family; oldest of 5 siblings -...Expand for more
not wealthy, had to tutor & do odd jobs to have spending $. In college she worked as a model to pay her way - met & married a law student (who she also put thru law school with her modeling career). She then became one of the 1st female Wallstreet stock brokers mand made a small fortune then bought a broken old farm house in Conn. This project began her interest in the life she leads now. But, she wasn't immune to life's trials - her husband had an affair, got divorced, her daughter sided with her spouse. Then, just as she catapults her career to new hieghts, the justice sytem decides to "make an example of her" due to an insider trading accusation. She went to prison for a whitecollar crime - she held her head high & proud, did her'time' and came out even richer than before and has put it behind her. She's now picked up where she left off. AND she did it without having to play the crying game or act like a defenseless victim - she took it like the classy & strong, woman she is. AND, she doesn't dwell on it - she has persevered. That's my kind of hero.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jackie Gibson-Ayers, because she is the friend I've know my entire life.
