I live in Allen, Texas (just north of Dallas). I have lived here 26 years and it has been a great place to raise a family. I have 2 children, Matt/25 & Sarah/22. All I ever wanted was to be happily married with a couple of kids. The happily married part is history, but the kids are still the BEST!! Matt has a good job & Sarah is a Senior in college (studying psychology & speech pathology). One of the biggest things my kids have taught me is that I should be proud of myself, (they are proud to have me as their Mom & that's a big thing to be proud of!) Life's biggest challenge for me has been taking care of a disabled spouse. In early 2000 he began having strokes & was hospitalized numerous times over the past 9 1/2 yrs. He has had a total of 10 strokes (the last one in January last year). After 27 yrs of marriage, my husband has become like a child that I am responsible for taking care of. He was moved into a group home in mid 2006 and has finally accepted the fact that this is his home now. I have dedicated my life to taking care of him & our children & that will not change. I visit him at least 2 - 3 times a week, cook his favorite foods to take to him on a regular basis and make effort to be sure he has all that he needs. God gives us the strength to do things that we never dreamed we were capable of doing. I am in the process of getting a divorce and looking forward to starting a new adventure. I work at hospital in Frisco as a Supervisor in the Registration Dept. I love my job!! I have many good friends there that I go out with & enjoy spending my leisure time with. After a crazy day there I like to go home & take a walk at the park, especially during the Spring & Fall. I love being outside!
