Charlene's Story
My life has definitely been a journey; one in which I have no regrets. When I look back, I've done things I never thought I would do and have met many wonderful people. So if you are reading this, we have crossed paths one way or the other. If we've shared some good times, thank you! If we didn't, I thank you for that too because every experience of my life has made me a better person and shaped me into the person I am today.
I attended the 9th and 10th grade at W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany, MS before moving back to Racine, WI. I graduated from William Horlick High School in Racine in June 1984. In the summer of 1983, I met my wonderful husband, Phillip Anderson (we didn't get married until May 1990). In July 1984, I did something I would ...Expand for more
have never imagined me doing (I joined the Army). I did basic training in South Carolina, AIT at Fort Gordon, GA. My duty stations included Neu Ulm, Germany, Fort Lewis, WA and Camp Casey, Korea. I stayed in for almost 10 years before getting out to be home with my children. I ended up joining the Army Reserves shortly after active duty.
I have 3 beautiful children: Dominique (19); shes's in the Navy in Virginia; Xavier, age 15 and Chardae, age 11.
I am currently a Program Administrator for the state of Washington.
Lastly, but most importantly, Jesus is the head of my life and if you haven't tried him; you definitely should. Know Jesus, Know Peace; No Jesus, No Peace!
Thanks for the opportunity to share my story. May God continue to bless you!
