Charlene's Story
Life
Went to T. M. Clark in 1st and part of 2nd grade (1966-1967)& East Cliff Elementary (3rd grade and up); then GP Jr. High. Lived at 101 Janin Circle East. My sister, Carolyn Estep, and I lived with my aunt (Lois Hibdon). She taught Violin, Piano and guitar lessons. Have 5 older sisters... Cheryl, Charlotte, Cyndy, Camille & Carolyn. People that lived close were... Melissa Fisher; David Parsons; Gregg Houston; Gayle Morris; Claire Harris; Debbie Nevels; Terry Wright; Martha Wyatt; Mike & Greg Long; and had alot of friends from school. We moved to Houston in 1973 after Hurricane Celia; then back to Corpus Christi later to live with my mom. Worked offshore in Aransas Pass in 1977, for about 7yrs. ave been in the Coast Guard since June 1987. Living in Dallas area. Will retire at the end of 09. Married; oldest daughter Angela is 19yrs; step-daughter Chelsea is 19yrs; and son Kieran Seth is 15yrs old. It's good to see some familiar names on this website. I have missed alot of folks since leaving Portland. :)
Military
Enlisted in the Coast Guard on June 22, 1987. Boot camp was in Cape May, NJ. Have been stationed in Hawaii (married a Texas man over there); Corpus Christi, TX; Petaluma, CA; Yorktown, VA; Topeka, KS (USCG Pay Center); and Dallas, TX. I volunteered to go overseas and was stationed in Bahrain (20 miles southeast of Saudi Arabia) from May - December 2003. Pay & Personnel is my job specialty. I have 22yrs in the service. :)
