Charlene's Story
Although I left Springfield High in the middle of my Junior year, it will always be my alma mater. I moved to California in October of my Senior year after a few brief months in Louisville, Ky. arried 20 years and share a love of history, antiquing, theatre, and traveling the world. I taught Junior HIgh School for 10 years before seeking a second credential in Special Education transferring to Salinas High School for the remaining 5 years of my career. I have endured freezing cold temps on a KC135, refueling in the air on a C17, and earsplitting noise on a C130 all while sitting in uncomfortable jumpseats, and the never ending takeoff and landings in a C5. Who knew life could bring such incredible challenges and such incredible joy?
