I met my 1st husband when I was 14 & he was 18. It was love at first sight for the both of us. We married July 1972. He was stationed with the U.S. Navy stationed in the San Jose, California area. We lived there for a year. Then we moved to the Philippines for 2 1/2 years. Then back to the San Jose area. We had our daughter (Scherie Elizabeth) in Oct.1978. Once again another move to Vallejo, California. Then another to Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 1981 the fairy tale sadly ended. Then I met my 2nd husband.Yes, another Navy man... LOL. We married in Oct.1983 and had our daughter ( Barbara Juanita) Sept. 1984. She was named after both of our mothers. I owned and operated a bakery in Virginia Beach. In 1989 my husband was having "silent" heart attacks... so the Navy said we can't use you anymore. So we moved to Tucson to be near my parents & grandparents. We wanted our daughters to get to know their family. Once again we decided that we could not live together. So in 1997 we called it quits. I've done home health care. Taking care of the elderly in their homes. My daughters would make fun of me when they died saying " Mom killed another one!". Silly girls. I felt blessed to have the honor to be there at the end of their lives. My daughters are now 30 & 25. Scherie is married and has 2 daughters and one son who are the "loves of my life". Scherie is going to college to be a nurse on her G.I bill. She was in the Army & now is in the reserves and works for the American Red Cross. Barbara is working at Western Dental running the front office. She and her long time love are having their 1st baby boy in Nov. I moved to Mesa Dec. 2007 to be near both of my daughters. my eldest sister Dorothy and her husband live here in the Phoenix area. Lee & his wife live ...Expand for more
