College
I attended LaGrange College 1962 to Spring '64. Then I transferred to the Univ. of GA. and its Henry Grady Journalism School where I received a Bachelor's Degree in 1966. Majored in Advertising, minored in Marketing. Selected "Advertising Woman of the Year" in '66 and sent as delegate to Midwest Adv. Conference.
Workplace
Began in 1966 as a clerk in the Media Dept of Burton-Campbell Adv. Agency..became a Media Buyer.
1969 Became Media Director of Rafshoon Ad...Expand for more
vertising and led the Media Campaign for the Carter Presidential Campaign in 1976. Opened my own Ad Agency in 1979 launching several hi-tech clients. Sold agency in 1985 and joined The Weather Channel cable network in 1987 in their Marketing Dept. Served in several positions including Adv. Director, Marketing Director and Affiliate Marketing Director. It was exciting to help build one of the best Brands in media...tripling its distribution and developing viewer loyalty.
